A minimalistic caddy that fuses the finest techniques of Japanese rokuro-hiki, a lathe technique using potter's wheel for shaving wood into an extremely fine form carved from a block of linden tree. A delicate fitting can be felt between the canister box and the lid. It has a very precise sealed structure giving you a sense of highly skilled Japanese craftsmanship every time you open or close it. The production of this canister is limited as it is handmade one by one by the craftsman. They are all made from natural materials that can last for 100 years.
Wooden tea caddy such as the one from BITOWA, is the best way to preserve your tea leaves. Wood is a natural material that makes the tea leaves breathe inside the caddy. BITOWA tea caddy is coated with natural urushi lacquer making it resistant to stains, is water repellant and durable. The beautiful texture stays the same, the rich colour deepening over time.
