The Rolling Rice Ball (Omusubi Kororin)

An old man’s rice ball rolled away and fell into a hole. Curious, he followed it inside and discovered a world of mice joyfully pounding rice cakes with the fallen rice ball. They welcomed him warmly. As a token of gratitude, they gave him a woven chest. When he returned home and opened it, he found it filled with treasures. The old man became wealthy and lived happily ever after.
