GoldenEye Snappers or "kin-medai", are 40cm long fish that have a vivid red color, huge glowing, golden eyes, and are usually found at depths of around 400 to 600 meters. They are highly valued as sashimi because of their unique texture that is not too soft or crunchy. The meat is very tender and is used in a great variety of Japanese dishes. The best season to enjoy them in winter.

The patches can be ironed on cotton and polyester materials. Use a damp cloth under the iron when ironing, and be extra careful if you are ironing on heat-sensitive materials. Machine-stitching is recommended to enhance strength.
