The Japanese Blue Crab or "watari-gani" has a width of about 15 cm. They live in relatively shallow seabeds of up to 30 m deep. The meat of this crab is very delicious. In Japan whole crabs are boiled with salt, steamed or put in miso soup. The turquoise-colored body turns a vivid vermilion color after it has been boiled. Best enjoyed from autumn to winter!

The patches can be ironed on cotton and polyester materials. Use a damp cloth under the iron when ironing, and be extra careful if you are ironing on heat-sensitive materials. Machine-stitching is recommended to enhance strength.
