RUST
This piece is first dyed with sumi ink and mud, followed by a mottled dyeing process using logwood.
The combination of sharply defined patterns and softer, blurred areas creates a rich and distinctive surface, reminiscent of the texture and character of rust.
The pattern is named “RUST”, inspired by the natural, changing beauty of oxidised metal.
Although the pattern is striking, the soft, muted tones of natural dyes have a gentle quality that sits beautifully against the skin. It adds a subtle touch of colour around the face and can also be worn as a turban.
Each piece is individually dyed by hand, making every one unique.
