Despite the absence of glaze, it offers a smooth texture that fits comfortably in the hand—an unmistakable quality unique to this clay. To fully bring out the flavor and aroma of Japanese tea, the base of the teapot is made as wide as possible. Its low profile allows for every last drop of tea to be poured out smoothly.
A notch opposite the spout prevents fine tea leaves from clogging and makes cleaning simple, keeping your teapot hygienic and easy to maintain.
Care Instructions
After each use, rinse the teapot with hot or cold water and gently wipe it with a dry cloth.
We do not recommend using detergent, as it may strip away the natural coating formed by tea stains. If you are concerned about stubborn stains, please use detergent only on those specific areas.
