TRUSS PLANTER
The TRUSS PLANTER is a unique mortar planter inspired by the raw beauty of exposed steel structures and unfinished architecture. With its industrial aesthetic and minimalist form, planting directly into the planter creates the impression of greenery emerging from a weathered, abandoned building—an evocative contrast between nature and architecture.
Over time, the planter develops richer character as subtle color variations, patina, and fine cracks appear due to exposure to rain, wind, and daily use. These natural changes are a defining feature of mortar, allowing you to enjoy the evolving texture and atmosphere of the piece for years to come.
This model is the Clear type, featuring a transparent glass window. Once planted, you can observe the soil condition and root environment through the window. (In contrast, the Color version uses tinted glass with a smoky appearance that obscures the interior.)
About the Motif Collection
The Motif collection is handcrafted by pouring mortar into wooden molds traditionally used in construction. Each piece is made individually by hand, resulting in subtle variations in wood grain patterns and natural discoloration from the mold—creating a warm, organic, and rustic texture.
Glass is carefully embedded into the window area, while brass legs are integrated into the base, highlighting the meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the design.
