Butter cases that look handsome on the table.
The wood is cherry, harvested in Japan, and tinted reddish with a smooth touch.
Its motif is taken from a traditional vessel that holds incense. These butter cases were created by blending OJI Masanori's design essence and the form found in traditional wooden wares, which have long been produced for the URUSHI-lacquerware industry in the city of Wajima by AIZAWA Wood Works.
The four edges and the top of the lid are slightly curved outward, which can only be attained by the craftsmen's mastery of plane work at AIZAWA Wood Works.
Caring instructions:
The raw materials used for AIZAWA (KITO) products are thoroughly dried before manufacturing. They should not warp hard or crack during regular use unless exposed to extreme temperature/humidity differences abruptly.
They are coated with liquid glass and are also suitable for serving foods. Dishwashing detergent and a sponge can be used to wash the products. A dump cloth may also be used to wipe off minor stains.
Do not use a dishwasher.
