A paper toy of a tiger with a bobbing head is ornamented for the 5th May, boy's festival. This tradition is seen especially around Kansai region. Tigers have been considered a holy beast that repels evil and represents strength. Bones of tigers were used as medicine and thought to have a power to protect from plagues.

Attention
The patches can be ironed on cotton and polyester materials. Use a damp cloth under the iron when ironing, and be extra careful if you are ironing on heat-sensitive materials. Machine-stitching is recommended to enhance strength.
