Atelier Hifumi / Ms Mio Heki is lacquerware and jewellery designer who uses natural materials and tools. She works together with craftspeople in Kyoto to create and repair objects and products. In her work, Mio considers how we can live in harmony with nature and its cycles.
Her jewellery series is also of high quality, incorporating traditional materials and techniques that have been used since ancient times in Kyoto, such as lacquer and gold leaf.
