This worldly known ukiyo-e painting is by Katsushika Hokusai one of the representing ukiyo-e artists of the Edo period. It is the first piece from the series 36 views of Mount Fuji. It is a dynamic painting of a glimpse of Mount Fuji under a wave of Kanagawa.
