MONO MONTHLY is a monthly online pre-order event where MONO JAPAN introduces one specific manufacturer every month. Unlike a large exhibition where many manufacturers gather, we are creating an opportunity to highlight one special maker.
The MONO MONTHLY vol.2 will be with Aizu Creative Japan!
They introducing three brands: Bitowa, Nodate, and Yamappakama.
Each of these contemporary products draw upon the excellent handicraft traditions of Aizu craftsmen.
Bitowa is a sophisticated Aizu lacquerware brand, Nodate was founded in 2010 as an Aizu lacquerware brand ‘for the field’, the producer has proven that wood and lacquer are a perfect match as tools for outdoor play. Yamappakama began in 2017 as a workwear brand utilizing the textiles of Aizu and Fukushima.
