Mikema. An evil calico cat with a split tail and a tenugui covering its head. Traveling cats were drawn in the Edo period by Ukiyo-e artist Kuniyoshi Utagawa. Kuniyoshi likened 55 comically twisted gestures of cats with famous station's names on the historical Tokaido road. The series is known as "Myokaiko Gojusanbiki".
