ARCH PLANTER – Motif Collection
The ARCH PLANTER is a tabletop planter crafted from mortar, a material commonly used in architecture and construction. It takes its name from the arch-shaped base that resembles a small tunnel structure beneath the planting area.
When water is given to the plant, it gently flows along the arch, creating a subtle and calming visual movement within the form.
Designed for direct planting, the piece gradually develops richer surface textures over time through natural weathering such as rain, wind, and everyday environmental exposure. As the plant grows, the planter itself also evolves, gaining a more solid and characterful appearance that reflects the passage of time.
The Motif Collection pieces are individually handcrafted by pouring mortar into wooden molds. Natural variations in wood grain and subtle color irregularities created by the molds give each piece a warm, rustic character. Glass is carefully embedded into the structure, and every detail is thoughtfully finished to achieve a refined, architectural quality.
