This YUKINE towel is crafted using our regional Atozarashi refining method, a special post-weaving process that removes starch and other natural impurities that can reduce cotton's absorbency.
For YUKINE, the Atozarashi process is carried out with twice the usual care, maximizing the cotton's natural absorbency to its fullest potential. As the clean, refined cotton fibres gently rub against one another, they create the towel's distinctive crisp texture, which gradually becomes softer and more supple with every wash.
The design combines white warp yarns with coloured weft yarns to evoke the beauty of nature—earth, water, and fresh greenery emerging from beneath melting snow. A pure white version is also available, inspired by a landscape blanketed in snow.
