About the maker Nakatsu Houki makes authentic Japanese brooms made from organic broomcorn plant that is organically cultivated, harvested and woven by the craftsmen who makes the brooms themselves. Everything is done by hand, carrying on the tradition of 150 years of Nakatsu, in the outskirts west of Tokyo where nature flourish near the foot of Tanzawa mountains. The tips of the brooms are carefully arranged and bound to enhance the softness of the natural material. The broom has natural elasticity and is very durable, resistant to breakage. The grip becomes more comfortable through daily use. This natural broom is suitable for gently gathering dust and dirt without damaging the floor.
