About 23 cm long with grey body color. They use their big yellow beaks to crack the nuts they eat. They usually live in bright forests, but received the nickname "Mame mawashi" (bean spinner), or "Mame umashi" (bean lovers) in Japan, because they are also oftentimes seen snatching beans from fields.
