Contemporary Mino Ceramics

A young ceramic label from Gifu, rooted in the rich tradition of Mino ware. deidei explores classic techniques such as Shino, Oribe, and Kiseto in a contemporary way—creating pieces that feel natural in everyday use. Each vessel embraces subtle variation and evolves over time, becoming more beautiful with use.
Haruka Matsuo
Japanese artist Haruka Matsuo graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts and Gerrit Rietveld Academy Amsterdam. Having studied under Seigetsu Iriyama (1922-2014), Haruka is the 9th successor of Kigata Banko Yaki technique. She adds elements from her own artworks into each tea set giving them a light and modern look.

Kodama Toki
KODAMA TOKI is a ceramic studio run by Kiyomi Kodama.
Using plaster moulds that have been used in mass production, she makes each product by hand at her studio. This results in unique characteristics and expression in each and every one of her creations.
