It is actually a male not a child riding a female grasshopper. The female is much larger then the male, enabling him to catch a ride on her back to always stay close and keep her safe from other males. There are two body colors, green and light brown. It does not fly, but moves by jumping or walking. It lives in sunny meadows and eats plant leaves.

Attention
The patches can be ironed on cotton and polyester materials. Use a damp cloth under the iron when ironing, and be extra careful if you are ironing on heat-sensitive materials. Machine stitching is recommended to enhance strength.
