Akebono
Shredded paper was spread across the fabric like soft clouds, then natural dyes made from persimmon tannin, pomegranate and catechu were sprayed over the surface to create a pattern inspired by spring clouds.
The pattern is called “Akebono”, a Japanese word describing the faint light and quiet landscape as dawn begins to break.
Each piece is individually dyed by hand, making every one unique.
The gentle, muted tones of natural dyes have a soft, warm quality that blends beautifully with the skin. Wear it around your neck for a subtle touch of colour, or style it as a turban.
A delicate piece that brings the quiet beauty of dawn into everyday life.
