Hitotsume-kozō is a mythical creature in Japanese folklore. Literally translating to "one-eyed child monk," it is depicted as a small, childlike being with a single eye located in the center of its forehead. Hitotsume-kozō is said to be mischievous and playful, often pulling pranks on humans or causing trouble. Despite its mischievous nature, it is not generally considered malevolent. Instead, it is seen as a trickster figure similar to other yokai (supernatural creatures) in Japanese mythology. Hitotsume-kozō is commonly portrayed in various forms of Japanese art, literature, and popular culture.

White parts glow in the dark by luminous threads.
