The pattern motif is based on the flora and fauna of Hokkaido. It uses a composite material of regenerated cellulose fiber cupro (derived from the downy hair around cotton seeds) and shrink-resistant wool. Cupro is characterized by its softness and excellent color development. It has moisture absorption and heat generation properties, as well as antistatic properties. The bouclé part uses untwisted extra-fine merino wool, so it is voluminous but lightweight.
