"Ichiwa Tomiemon with Kanizaka Tōma and Sanogawa Ichimatsu in Gionmachi" by Tōshūsai Sharaku
This print depicts a scene from the kabuki play "Hanashōbu Bunroku Soga," featuring the down-and-out character Tōma entangled with the courtesan Onayo. Interestingly, the pattern of the kimono worn by Ichimatsu became popular, and since then, it has been referred to as "Ichimatsu-moyō."

Our postcards, based on Echizen Washi, illustrate Japanese culture using vibrant colored washi paper. The first theme is "Ukiyo-e."
The term "postcard" comes from "hashigaki," meaning "edge writing." Originally, it referred to written notes or memos on small pieces of paper.
