Pull Push Products

Founded in 2002, Pull Push Products. is a Kyoto-based craft brand that operates from its studio in Narutaki, Kyoto. From design and production to packaging and shipping, every step of the process is carried out by hand in-house. By carefully observing the nature of materials, their structures, and their relationship with time, the brand creates products that introduce new perspectives and sensory experiences into everyday life.

While working with the same materials, Pull Push Products. looks beyond their apparent hardness to uncover the warmth and memories embedded within. Through hand-driven exploration on a small architectural scale, forms are shaped using compositions of lines, planes, and shadows—quietly reflecting fragments of urban landscapes and traces of human activity.

Their creations include incense burners that resemble small buildings releasing rising smoke, and planters that gradually change in appearance through exposure to wind and rain. Each object is designed to capture moments when materials begin to “speak” through time and use.

By discovering softness within rigidity and warmth within cool surfaces, the brand gently reflects the delicacy of human perception. Cracks, chips, light reflections, and traces of aging on the surface create a rhythmic harmony between human hands and raw materials.

Pull Push Products. also finds beauty in the slow fading of color and the passage of time. By giving new presence to ordinary and lightweight materials, the brand observes the subtle “changes” hidden in nature and daily life, transforming them into tangible forms.

At its core, Pull Push Products. is an ongoing exploration of the hidden order and beauty found in the moment when hands engage with materials, materials transform, and form emerges. Crossing boundaries between architecture, design, and craft, the brand’s practice is both poetic and experimental—quietly reexamining the relationship between material, structure, time, and human presence through the physical act of making.
