Plum blossoms signal the arrival of spring. Plums that came to Japan for medicinal purposes during the Nara period captured the hearts of Japanese people because of the beauty and fragrance of their flowers. The scarf is tied-dyed by a Shibori craftsman in Kyoto. We then embroidered parts of the blooming flowers. The fabric is 100% cotton made by Banshu weaving in Hyogo, Japan.
