A highly ranked sumo wrestler, "Yokozuna", performs a ring entrance routine on special occasions; such as the start of a championship. Along with the sumo belt, they are wrapped with a thick sacred rope that is 4 to 5 m long and weighs more than 10 kg. Two other wrestlers escort the Yokozuna during the routine.
"Unryu" style is the most orthodox routine with a distinctive form of upwardly stretched right arm with the left hand positioned by the side of the stomach. The stretched arm represents attack and the folded arm represents being on guard. "Unryu" style is said to represent a good balance of sumo wrestling.
