A highly ranked sumo wrestler, "Yokozuna", performs a ring entrance routine on special occasions; such as the start of a championship. Along with the sumo belt, they are wrapped with a thick sacred rope that is 4 to 5 m long and weighs more than 10 kg. Two other wrestlers escort the Yokozuna during the routine.
"Shiranui" style has a distinctive form of stretched arms which represents the flawless attack. This vigorous routine is at its best when performed by well-built and tall Yokozuna.
