Paper Mache Daruma

Regular price €25.50 Sale

This Daruma paper mache is a lucky charm to pray for good fortune, symbolizing the spirit of "Shichi-ten-hakki (七転八起)", which means to get up again and again even after failures. Fill in one eye with a wish. When the wish comes true, fill in the other eye with a gratitude from your heart.

The paper mache Daruma is prayed at Manzoku Inari Shrine in Higashiyama, Kyoto.
Hariko is a traditional Japanese toy made of Japanese paper.
It has a fortune paper inside and can be used as a decoration after the fortune paper has been taken out and read. The fortune paper is written in Japanese.
