Solid-dyed MAME-SHIBORI

The traditional Japanese pattern known as "MAME-SHIBORI" is created using the "SHIBORI" dyeing technique. It features small, bean-sized round dots evenly arranged across the fabric.

"TENUGUI" is a hand-dyed rectangular cloth that has been used daily in Japan since ancient times.

"KOMON" means "small patterns" in Japanese, and this collection features a series of "TENUGUI" adorned with these traditional KOMON designs.

Many of these KOMON patterns are traditional motifs cherished by common people for over 100 years. Each pattern has its own name and meaning, carrying a unique story behind it.
