YA-GASURI

The "YA-GASURI" pattern is created by repeating the arrow feather design called "YA-BANE" (where "YA" means arrow and "BANE" means feather) found on the fletching of traditional Japanese arrows.

"GASURI" is a traditional Japanese dyeing technique used to create patterns, and "YA-GASURI" refers specifically to the arrow feather motif made using this method.

"TENUGUI" is a hand-dyed rectangular cloth that has been used daily in Japan since ancient times.

"KOMON" means "small patterns" in Japanese, and this collection features a series of "TENUGUI" adorned with these traditional KOMON designs.

Many of these KOMON patterns are traditional motifs cherished by common people for over 100 years. Each pattern has its own name and meaning, carrying a unique story behind it.
