At this MONO JAPAN STORE pop-up, tamaki niime presents its signature shawls and clothing.
tamaki niime is based in Nishiwaki, Hyogo — the birthplace of Banshu-ori, a traditional Japanese textile with over 200 years of history.
Living alongside sheep, alpacas, and other animals, we create textiles rooted in the rhythms of nature and everyday life. From dyeing yarn and weaving fabric to knitting, sewing, and finishing, every process is carried out in-house with care and curiosity.
We value not mass production, but creating one-of-a-kind textiles rich in color, texture, and individuality.
By embracing slow craftsmanship and the natural circulation of materials, people, and land, tamaki niime continues to explore a sustainable and soulful way of making cloth.
This special pop-up will feature tamaki niime’s signature Only One Shawls, distinctive deniime denim pieces, and a colourful selection of one-of-a-kind wear, including tops, bottoms, knitwear, and cut-and-sewn garments. Each piece is unique, offering the rich textures, comfort, and spontaneity that define tamaki niime’s world of textiles.
