A new line by Takarajima Senko, created using traditional hand-dyeing techniques applied to synthetic fabrics with chemical dyes.
Each piece carries the subtle variations and organic character unique to handwork, while the combination of modern materials and dyes introduces a sharp, edgy expression. This line brings together the distinct qualities of both tradition and innovation.
After three years, the “-thus-” series jacket returns.
The pattern, named “SQUALL,” features vertical dyeing that creates a clean, striking impression.
Delicate gathers at the back yoke, along with an adjustable drawcord at the hem, allow for a balanced silhouette—even when styled with voluminous skirts or bottoms—resulting in a refined and streamlined look.
Designed to be worn by anyone regardless of gender or age, the jacket is made from lightweight, quick-drying nylon. It can be easily folded into a compact size, making it a practical piece to carry with you.
